Bathroom Fitting, What's Involved
A bathroom installation is several trades in one small room: strip-out, first-fix plumbing, any wall or floor alterations, boarding, tiling, sanitaryware, second fix, sealing and decoration.
The reason bathrooms overrun is usually coordination, waiting for one trade before the next can start. We handle the sequence in-house with our own team, so the room progresses day to day.
Waterproofing and falls are where bathrooms are won or lost. Tile backer or tanking in wet areas, correct falls in a shower, properly supported trays and sealed junctions are what stop water getting into the floor below.

How much does a new bathroom cost in Cardiff?
It depends on the size of the room, whether the layout is changing, the amount of tiling and the suite chosen. We measure on site and give you a free fixed written price.
How long does a bathroom take?
A typical full bathroom runs over one to two weeks depending on the tiling and any layout changes. The programme is set out in your quote before we start.
Will I be without a bathroom the whole time?
The room is out of use during the fit. Where the property has only one bathroom, we sequence the work to get the WC back in commission as early as possible.
Can I supply my own suite and tiles?
Yes. Plenty of customers do. Just have it on site before the start date, and we will check the fittings suit the room before the old suite comes out.
Do you move the layout around?
Yes, within what the waste runs and structure allow. We will tell you at the site visit what is straightforward and what is not.
Do you handle the tiling too?
Yes. Tiling, sealing and making good are part of the installation, not a separate trade you have to arrange.
Is the work guaranteed?
Our workmanship carries a 10-year guarantee and we are fully insured.
Are your quotes really free?
